POLISH COMPOSER MAREK CHOLONEWSKI BROUGHT HIS GLOBAL INTERNET PROJECT TO DEFIBRILLATOR MARCH 4TH 2012, 6 PM
Choloniewski brought his decade long running global internet project in which a car, driving around the city of Chicago, controls 4 video screens projecting a drive around the city re-interpreted by the location of the car. This event will precede an off location performance event by Estonian artist collective Non Grata involving the dismantling of a car. After their performance, the audience will return to Defibrillator for a dance party/reception where they will have a chance to interact with the video screens themselves.
GPS-Trans is an ongoing internet project using GPS-12 technology to transmit data from a moving vehicle to a central server. which then controls many audio and visual elements It has taken many forms over the years and is always available over the internet for free. In turn, this live performance is also free but is part of a fundraiser for Defibrillator.
